Radio Host Samantha Layne Returns To Lehigh Valley

5157242My favorite radio personality is finally returning to the Lehigh Valley.

Samantha Layne, formerly of the Michaels and Layne Show on 99.9 The Hawk, who was unceremoniously let go earlier this year by new owners, has found a home in Allentown, PA.

Almost immediately upon the discovery by listeners that she was no longer a part of our morning commute, a Facebook page was started that gained more than 2000 followers to boycott 99.9 The Hawk (WODE), in protest of the new owners decision.

Now, good news has arrived for fans of “Sam.” Continue reading

How Much I Love Winter

As I look out my window this morning I have an urge to write about the new snow and the winter season that hasn’t officially started yet.

Mezzacappa Tells Wilson Borough Council “Just Say No” In Letter About Police Coverage

screwedWhen I was told that a resident of West Easton wrote to the Wilson Borough Council, in an effort to screw their own West Easton community out of obtaining police coverage I was skeptical.

After all, it was known that the City of Easton, led by Mayor Panto, wasn’t going to renew the long-standing police contract. If Wilson couldn’t be persuaded to provide police protection, the community of West Easton would be left to depend on State Police, or scramble to create a new police force.

I requested from Wilson any letter received from any West Easton resident that advised their Council against providing police coverage to West Easton. Continue reading
