West Easton Council voted on Monday night to hire Mr. Pete Rossi as an Interim Borough Manager until a permanent replacement can be hired.

Mr. Rossi, who attended the Council Meeting made it clear that he did not want the position for an extended period of time and expected the Council to find a permanent person to fill the position.

Mr. Rossi will put in no more than 30 hours per week and expects that as the many administrative business matters that need to be addressed are taken care of, his hours needed in the office should decline.

The hiring of Mr. Rossi as Interim Borough Manager should allow all Council members to devote more time to Borough matters, rather than the running of the office and personnel. It also achieves a goal of putting distance between the position of Borough Manager and that of Council President.

The Personnel Committee will be meeting on Friday to discuss the wording of a new Borough Manager advertisement and advertising the position again.
