It makes no difference to me whether I serve on Council with fellow Democrats, or Republicans.

My belief is that National platforms of the two major parties have little importance to small town issues that must deal with small town problems. I’ve never been a party line voter because I have occasionally disagreed with a candidate of the party I was registered with.

People have the right to vote for their candidate of choice, but if I were to accept a position of Committeeman for a party I would show loyalty to that party as it’s designated representative, or resign that position before openly promoting a candidate from another party.

The more difficult question to answer is, can Democrats or Republicans trust a person that is disloyal to his party and his community?
