Holy Ghost Festival A Solid Success

Residents turned out for the revival of the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church’s Festival today. From what I could see, it was a rewarding day for visitors and the church, as food servers reported sales were brisk. The last such festival was held 20 years ago.

I stopped by for awhile, eager to purchase some of those Pyrohy (Perogie) that are downright sinfully good. I also took some pictures that can be seen below.

After opening ceremonies were completed there was music and dancing led by Jeff Bellfy & Company.

St Mary’s Traditional Ukrainian Dancers from Allentown, under the direction of Walter Milinichik, entertained the visitors at 2:00.

The Golden Tones Polka Band, from McAdoo, PA, played from 3:00 until 7:00.
