Councilman Ron Nixon submitted a letter of resignation to the Council, which was opened and read at the meeting. Ron had been noticeably absent the last months.

In his letter he cited health problems with his mother that he has been dealing with and his not wanting to collect pay for being a Councilman, if he could not attend meetings.

His resignation was accepted with regret.

Personally, I’m sorry to see him leave our Council. He was level-headed and had much to contribute, I’m sure, if he could have remained. I wish him well and his mother better health in the future.
