Council approved purchases of some needed equipment.

West Easton’s part-time police force will be receiving 2 desktop and 3 laptop computers. These and other peripheral hardware, such as a firewall, will arrive and be installed on a network system over the next two weeks.

RCN arrived earlier this week to install modem and wiring needed for the desktops. Laptops will be for officers use while on patrol.

Borough Hall had two additional cameras installed on its surveillance system today. One was placed at the rear of the building. The other on the side of the building facing Spring Street, doing double duty. It will not only be keeping an eye on borough grounds, but also on Monument Park.

The two cameras provide complete coverage for the building, filling in the two sides that had no coverage previously.
