With freezing temperatures comes colds and flu, or the simple delight of having a hot bowl of soup after shoveling snow. This recipe meets all those needs with flavor and at a cost far below the canned varieties

Ingredients
- 4 cans chicken broth
- 4 ounces egg noodles
- 2 cups cooked chicken
- 1 cup sliced celery
- 1 cup chopped carrot
- ½ cup chopped Onion
- 1 small diced potato
- 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon
- 2 teaspoons butter
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- Parsley as garnish
Instructions
- Take a large pot and melt butter in it. Add celery, carrot and onion and sauté for about 2 minutes.
- Add potato, thyme, chicken broth, and bouillon along with poultry seasoning.
- Boil the whole mixture.
- Add noodles and chicken and cook for 20 minutes on low heat.
- Pour in soup bowls and garnish with parsley.
