With freezing temperatures comes colds and flu, or the simple delight of having a hot bowl of soup after shoveling snow. This recipe meets all those needs with flavor and at a cost far below the canned varieties

Ingredients
  • 4 cans chicken broth
  • 4 ounces egg noodles
  • 2 cups cooked chicken
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1 cup chopped carrot
  • ½ cup chopped Onion
  • 1 small diced potato
  • 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • Parsley as garnish
Instructions
  1. Take a large pot and melt butter in it. Add celery, carrot and onion and sauté for about 2 minutes.
  2. Add potato, thyme, chicken broth, and bouillon along with poultry seasoning.
  3. Boil the whole mixture.
  4. Add noodles and chicken and cook for 20 minutes on low heat.
  5. Pour in soup bowls and garnish with parsley.
