The uncontested 4-year seats for Mayor and Council positions were won by the incumbents, as is expected when there is no opposing candidate on the ballot.
The 2-year council seat, vied for between sitting Councilman Paul James (D) and newcomer Robert Adams (R) had only a one vote difference, which gave Paul James the win in unofficial results posted by Northampton County election returns.
If the election results are certified, Mr. James will have his choice of either the 4-year seat, or 2-year seat, having won both. The seat he declines will be left to Council for appointment.
The results of the election are as follows:
*Mayor (4-year)
Dan DePaul (D) 127
