Mayor Gerald Gross proclaimed Friday, April 21st, to be PowerTalk 21 Day in West Easton.
PowerTalk 21 was started in 2011 by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) to encourage parents and caregivers to embrace their important role in influencing America’s youth and their decisions about drinking alcohol.
Between April 1st and April 21st, MADD Pennsylvania will provide events, workshops, and online information to give parents the tools to effectively task to their children about alcohol.
The Mayor, through his Proclamation urges all citizens to join in the local and national efforts to raise awareness of the importance of parents and teens talking together about alcohol to reduce the risks and dangers posed to teens and communities.
