Tomorrow, September 1, 2020, at 9:00 am, Constable Tricia Mezzacappa is scheduled to finally answer a charge of filing a false report with the Pennsylvania State Police. Her appearance will be at the Northampton County Courthouse, with Judge Stephen G. Baratta presiding.

The alleged false report by Mezzacappa, on February 11, 2019, claimed a black man pointed a gun at her head, she drew her own weapon, and she fired off a round. Despite her self-proclaimed accuracy with a hand weapon, she missed her target.

The result of her call of a man with a gun was multiple PSP Troopers responding, removing them from their regular patrol duties. After hours of an extensive investigation on-scene and following a test of her weapon that was bagged, they came to the conclusion that resources had been wasted on a false police report.

Thanks to the PSP’s due diligence, use of proper procedures, and not jumping to conclusions upon arrival, a potential racial incident resulting from a white woman making criminal allegations against a black man was averted.

On August 28, 2019, a preliminary hearing in front of District Magistrate Judge Richard Yetter found sufficient evidence to move the charge forward to the Northampton County Court.

Postponements have delayed her actual trial.

Having attended the preliminary hearing and heard the testimony of PSP Corporal Shair, it’s obvious Mezzacappa will have difficulty overcoming the evidence against her, including the damning report from her gun exam that concluded she had not fired her weapon, and her own conflicting statements made by her during an interview.

Corporal Shair was a Patrol Supervisor at the time.

Shair was one of the Troopers who responded to the February 11th call, which followed a dispute involving Mezzacappa and her black neighbor across the street from her. Apparently, that dispute began when Mezzacappa confronted him, complaining his car exhaust was too loud. He had started his vehicle, to get milk for his infant child.

Under questioning from Assistant DA, Abigail Marie Bellafatto during the preliminary hearing, Cpl. Shair’s testimony gave additional clarity to what had already been gleaned from the PSP Criminal Complaint filed against Mezzacappa.

Testimony presented at the preliminary hearing and two attempts by Mezzacappa to provide a written statement to the PSP exposed troubling indications of Mezzacappa mental state. She refused to take a sobriety test the night of the incident, when she disclosed she had been drinking.

For those of us who have been subjected to her fits of rage, stalking, disparagement and false accusations, we see the progressive decline in normal behavior that has only gotten worse over the years. Her actions have resulted in convictions of harassment, and disorderly conduct, along with bizarre letters to newspapers and government officials, including the infamous one to The Express-Times, in which she supported murderer Rockne Newell.

Newell was ultimately convicted of ambushing and killing multiple representatives of Ross Township during a public meeting. Mezzacappa also called for the survivors to resign.

In the most recent incident it was reported Mezzacappa brandished a knife toward BLM protesters, in Emmaus, PA.

If found guilty for filing a false police report, “Constable” Tricia Mezzacappa faces up to 1 year in jail and $2,500 fine.

UPDATE 9/1/20
It seems Mezzacappa received yet another continuance. I have no information on her new trial date, but will post it. Meanwhile, my personal stalker has put in another RTK to my employer, seeking another video of me at work. Creepy!
