Amazon.com is offering a free $50 gift card. If you’re like me, I’m always looking for ways to get free stuff from companies. When I find a way to beat them, I take advantage of it. Sometimes it just takes a little computer know-how to find the right portal and sometimes it doesn’t. As with everything I do and share, it’s all legal and above board. I’m just going to get you where you need to go so that you can get your FREE $50 gift card at no cost to you.

1. First, if you don’t have an Amazon.com account you will need to open one. There is no cost in opening an account. If you already use Amazon, you can skip this step.

Go to Amazon.com by clicking HERE. You will see another browser window has opened (this website will also remain open on another tab, so you can refer back to these instructions). The option to open a new account is found in the dropdown menu under the words, “My Account”. Fill out the requested information and submit. You will receive an email from Amazon with your new account information.

2. Now, click this LINK.

You will arrive at a page that has an offer on the right side for an Amazon credit card. Fill out the application and you will receive a $50 credit in the form of a gift card to your account. The credit is good immediately upon submission of your application and can be applied to any online purchase.

3. Close your browsers windows that are open to Amazon.com. Keep this browser window (westeastonpa.com) OPEN.

4. Now, return to Amazon.com by clicking HERE. You will see another browser window has opened (this website will also remain open on another tab, so you can refer back to these instructions. In the address bar (the long box near the top of your screen that shows the website address) you should see a long address consisting of symbols and numbers that end with “compgamecent-20″.

5. You are now ready to shop on Amazon. Use their “search” option and find what you’ve been putting off buying. At the completion of your purchases, you will be given a payment option. Choose “Amazon Visa” and your $50 gift card will be applied automatically. Check your total balance due on your order to verify the $50 was applied, before completing the purchase process.

It’s that simple.

If you are like me and don’t want the credit card you were approved for, simply cancel it when it arrives (company info is provided when it is mailed). I have enough credit cards I don’t use. I canceled mine the same day it came to me. No penalties. No chargebacks. The $50 gift card I used on Amazon to order tools was still honored.
