Study Shows Link Between Pesticides And Autism

Pesticide Crop-DusterMany of us have suspected that the use of chemicals, growth hormones, GMO’s, and other man-made changes to our food is contributing to what has become an epidemic of children diagnosed with autism, or development delays.

It would appear that one study is providing more evidence in proving those suspicions. Exposure to several common agricultural pesticides during pregnancy increases the risk of developmental delays and autism in children by two-thirds, this new study found. While the researchers did not say pesticides are the cause of autism, a direct link is plausible. Continue reading

Local Police Want Radar Timing Devices

speedtrap1Local municipalities are passing resolutions that urge state representatives to support the use of radar by local police forces, reports WFMZ.com. Currently, only state police are authorized to use radar guns to time motorists speed and that arrangement has worked for generations.

Now, with local governments seeing red in their budgets they think radar will help them see more green, with increased revenue through an increase in the number of speeding tickets their officers can issue more easily. Continue reading

Iraq: Deja Vu Of South Vietnam

The rapidity with which the South Vietnamese position collapsed in 1975 was surprising to most American and South Vietnamese observers, and probably to the North Vietnamese and their allies as well. For instance, a memo prepared by the CIA and U.S. Army Intelligence and published on March 5 indicated that the South Vietnam could hold through the current dry season, i.e., at least until 1976.

Once the Americans removed themselves from the battlefield it took less than 2 months for North Vietnam forces to take Saigon. Continue reading
