My political opponent may have to go back farther than 35 years to find anything useful, but I’ve helped with some sensational headline twisting on my family line – political style.
Dees’ great-great grandfather tried to destroy the United States of America ! (He fought for the Confederacy.)
Dees’ grandfather attacked toward U.S. soldiers in WWI ! (He was a member of the force that finally broke through and rescued “The Lost Battalion,” who were completely surrounded by Germans in the Argonne Forest.)
Dees’ father refused to fight in WWII ! (He was a medic.)
As for me, nothing sensational. No arrests. No warrants. No Letters To Editors. Clean FBI background and fingerprint checks. Boring, I know. I suppose I could admit to having the drawer of penicillin on my ship renamed, “The Dees Supply Depot,” but that sounds more like bragging. I was young and good looking back then.
However, I want to provide something, so I dug out an interrogation tape of me, from when I was 10 years old. It was delivered to my mother as proof the, “Goonies Love and Care Center” was making progress with my attitude adjustment. The Fratelli family ran the center and were a no nonsense bunch. They are the reason I can’t play the violin.
