West Easton’s part-time summer worker, Brandon Moffit, was approved by Council to work for about a month during his upcoming break from college.
Dane Thatcher, working alone since the end of summer has had difficulty cleaning up leaves in the borough, working the truck and vacuum in what should be a two-man operation.
Dane has numerous tasks in the borough, including cleaning the parks each morning of trash and checking play areas for broken glass, inspecting drains, removing fallen limbs, and building an evidence room within the police department building, to name only a few of his many assignments.
Upon Brandon’s return to work, the majority of the work day will shift to leaf collection, in the hope that it can be accomplished before ice, snow, and freezing weather makes it impossible to vacuum until Spring.
