Rarely do I take an interest in Hollywood, other than to find out what movie is going to be released. However, the latest Woody Allen – Mia Farrow flap that has been dredged up again by Dylan Farrow (Mia’s daughter) has given me an “Aha moment,” as Oprah would say.
The “Aha” doesn’t come from the NYT piece written by Dylan Farrow, or the reply to it written by Woody Allen. Both make compelling arguments that can have you believing either of them, based on a preconceived point of view that would support your own opinion on the accusation.
The only thing I am sure of is the answer to a question that has become a side note to the whole sordid Farrow/Allen dysfunctional family relationship that has extended well beyond the initial custody battle that ended 20 years ago.
Who is the daddy of Ronan Farrow (formerly Satchel), the son born of the Allen-Farrow cohabitation when the relationship was a love-fest?
Mia has implied that Ronan Farrow may not be the son of Woody Allen – that there is a possibility he may be the son of Frank Sinatra, Mia’s former spouse. If Mia thinks there is the possibility that Ronan isn’t Woody Allen’s son it means that she wasn’t all wholesome and goodness during their relationship. It also means that she lied under oath during the custody battle regarding the fatherhood of her then infant son and Woody paid dearly for a kid he might not have been responsible for.
I’m not very good at seeing family resemblances. I never thought the Olsen Twins were that similar in appearance, but I’m willing to bet that like other divorced couples, Ol’ Blue Eyes went back to mow the lawn when Woody was away filming and couldn’t take care of the garden.
You can’t convince me Frank didn’t visit his old hangout when he was in town.
Ronan looks like he could break out in a rendition of “My Way” at any moment.
