Pull Weeds

Weed Control – Ordinance #631

Everybody hates weeds. They give an unsightly appearance to homes and neighborhoods when allowed to grow.

Ordinance #631 states that it’s the responsibility of the resident to keep grass and weeds cut on a regular basis during the growing seasons. Weed and grass control also extends to include your sidewalks and street walkways adjoining your home. Also included are the gutters along the walkway and cracks in the sidewalk where weeds can take root.

Weeds are often more easily pulled when the ground is still wet after a rain, or watering. When removed under these conditions the root will usually come out with the pulled growth – especially from those areas where weeds and grasses are unable to obtain deep root growth (cracks and curbs). Try to avoid using herbicides if possible, as chemicals eventually leech into groundwater. For some “Green” alternatives to control weeds, see our tips HERE.
