Yesterday I posted answers to false statements being made regarding West Easton Council expenditures and other deceptive postings being made on social media.

I refrained from mentioning the name of the person for fear that doing it three times could make her appear.

However, I’m going to make an exception this time and risk it.

Tricia Mezzacappa, AKA Tricia Phillips, as if on cue to prove she distorts truth and provides false information, has been charged with making a False Report to the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP).

For some time, word on the street was her weapon had been confiscated by the PSP, but until the investigation was completed RTK Requests could not be answered to confirm the witness accounts relaying that information to me.

Blogger Bernie O’Hare was the first to report Mezzacappa’s newest brush with the law, providing proof of her running afoul of it once again. His post appeared on his blog, Lehigh Valley Ramblings, late last night.

Making a False Report is a Class 3 Misdemeanor, punishable by up to 1 year in prison and a $2500 fine.

Apparently, PSP doesn’t tolerate antics of a common scold thinking themselves a real police officer and takes it pretty seriously when one makes false claims of having fired their weapon. The PSP responds with multiple cars in record time when you tell them that.

The incident, allegedly involving a confrontation with a neighborhood youth, occurred on February 11, 2019. Witnesses in the neighborhood said that four PSP vehicles were at her Ridge Street address that evening.

That’s a lot of taxpayer money wasted and protection taken away from other areas when PSP are already stretched thin.

Regrettably, Mezzacappa will appear for the preliminary hearing before Judge Yetter, who has used nothing more than the softest glove when dealing with her in multiple past appearances.

If moved forward and found guilty at the county level, it will probably be little more than another slap on the wrist and she will continue giving the middle finger to decent behavior.

Mezzacappa is scheduled to appear before Yetter on July 22nd, barring further delays.

Las Vegas odds have the chosen Defense of the charge at:

  • 1st Amendment Right – Lies are Free Speech!:  4-1
  • 2nd Amendment Right – I should have emptied my clip!:  5-3

  • Crocodile Tears – I promise I will be good!:  3-1
  • Not My Fault – It’s Matt Dees’ fault!:  No Bets Accepted.

UPDATE 7/2/19: Mezzacappa’s preliminary hearing date was continued. It is now scheduled for Wednesday, August 28, 1 pm.

UPDATE 7/3/19: With new information disclosed regarding the circumstances leading up to this charge, I now believe the gloves will come off and this matter could possibly go to trial by jury.
