Sidewalks to be installed on 5th Street and Spring Street, along the sides of the park, will be fully funded with a grant, thanks to an additional $5000 being awarded for the project.
The original grant application asking for the projected cost of about $40,000 was approved, but bids were received that exceeded the expected amount.
The request for an additional monies from CDBG to cover the difference was approved.
The project is expected to begin in late June.
