snow route ticketWest Easton Borough has been asking nicely for residents to keep snow emergency routes clear of vehicles during snow storms.

The niceties may be coming to an end for the few who don’t move their cars. A garage may be sought to do some towing.

Not only does this website post a scrolling message along the top when a snow emergency has been declared, but more frequently visited media outlets post the information, as well.

WFMZ scrolls a message on its local TV station, 69.1 and also posts the information on its website, wfmz.com.

In addition to the website information provided by WFMZ, you can also get text messages sent to your smart phone for West Easton Borough. Sign up for WFMZ text messages using your email address, choose “West Easton Borough” as the institution, and save.

Radio station websites including 99.9 The Hawk, and WZZO also provide postings of snow emergencies.

Even without all the publicly provided information sites, common sense would tell us that a significant amount of snow means cars will have to moved from snow emergency routes in order for plows to do their job.

For the vast majority of West Easton residents, the ordinance requiring the removal of cars from those streets has been followed.

However, there are exceptions. A few residents haven’t been complying and has been making the plowing job difficult.
