West Easton Mayor Steps Up

Mayor Dan DePaul got behind the wheel of a plow truck today, stepping up on a Sunday to help plow and salt the streets in the borough.

The snow event was a relatively minor one with about 2″ falling, but enough to be a nuisance and become a problem with freezing temperatures expected overnight, if the roads weren’t plowed and salted.

West Easton’s road/maintenance crew doesn’t work on a Sunday, so Dan, who has assisted in plowing over the years, took care of the potential problem.

However, not everyone seemed to appreciated the Mayor taking the time to plow and salt the roads.

“Since when does a Mayor plow and salt the streets?” a common scold asked on Facebook.

The answer is, “When it’s a Mayor who cares about the residents of West Easton.”

Some people just like to complain and try to find fault with people they hate. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. They’ll always be miserable.

I think the rest of us appreciate the Mayor having plowed the streets today.
