West Easton Borough has posted a snow emergency beginning at 8:00 pm Wednesday with an ending time almost two days later at 5:00 pm Friday.
Wilson and Easton have also posted snow emergencies.
The latest snowfall totals and duration of the storm being tracked is still up in the air, though all meteorologists agree that at least 6″ of snow will fall. Most of it will fall during the day on Thursday.
As of this post time, some computer models predict as much as 12″.
A much more accurate forecast will be available from local meteorologists by tomorrow at around midday.
In the meantime, be aware that vehicles must be moved from emergency snow routes by the start of the snow emergency time.
Expect schools to be closed Thursday and possibly again on Friday – especially if totals are over 6″ and the storm ends late Thursday evening.
Driving conditions will deteriorate rapidly once the snow begins to fall. Current freezing weather ensures that snow will begin sticking to road surfaces almost immediately. Avoid driving, if it isn’t absolutely necessary.
It is advisable to have an emergency winter weather kit prepared with basics, such as flashlights, extra batteries, candles, and other items that would be needed should power be lost to your home.
