Following the recommendation of Personnel Committee members Dan DePaul, Matthew Dees, and Henry Nodoline, who interviewed candidates for the position of Borough Manager, Joan Heebner was appointed West Easton Borough Manager by a 4-1 vote of Council.
Councilman Tom Nodoline was the lone dissenting vote, voicing his opinion during discussion of the motion to appoint her, that Ms. Heebner was not qualified to be our Borough Manager. Ms. Heebner had been our Borough Secretary since January, appointed to that position by the newly reorganized Council by a 5-1 vote (Councilman Tom Nodoline dissenting).
Ms. Heebner has assumed the position held by Mr. Pete Rossi, who was our Interim Borough Manager. Mr. Rossi served with a mutual understanding that he would do so only until his replacement could be found by Council. His resignation became effective following the appointment of Ms. Heebner.
Ms. Heebner will be paid $24/hr, with those hours being flexible and not to exceed 35 hours per week.
Mr. Rossi was retained as a Consultant for the Borough, whose occasional service might be required while Ms. Heebner gets up to speed as Borough Manager.
