Council approved the installation of security cameras for the West Easton Police Station.
The 8-channel system will allow the installation of 6 wide angle cameras to be installed in various locations, both outside and inside the station, leaving two channels available, if needed in the future.
The system will record video onto a hard drive for review, if needed for incidents that may occur in and around the building.
The $3,570 cost of the system, which includes installation in the price, will be paid for using part of a previously awarded $20,000 grant designated for police start-up expenses.
