If Constable Tricia Mezzacappa had found allies in former Council members Kelly Gross and Tom Nodoline, I suspect they can’t be too thrilled in her posting a document that revives public scrutiny of their time in office.
Back in 2015, when voters removed then-Council President Kelly Gross and others from office, a new administration finally gained access to Borough Hall records at the beginning of 2016, and found evidence of impropriety, despite the scorched earth actions Gross conducted on her way out.
By May of 2016, a report of the findings was sent to law enforcement, in the form of the evidence and a cover letter sent to then-DA John Morganelli.
Mezzacappa had been calling for both Gross and Nodoline to be arrested for a variety of reasons before 2016. Mezzacappa who had been found guilty of Disorderly Conduct and later, for Harassment during the Gross administration, is now calling the letter to Morganelli an attempt to “frame” her now BFFs.
Morganelli, however, only cited “Prosecutorial Discretion” in not prosecuting Gross and Nodoline.
In other words, Morganelli didn’t state that no crimes had been committed, or that the evidence submitted was fabricated. He only chose not to prosecute them, which any DA can decide to do.
Whatever his reason for falling back onto his ability to use Prosecutorial Discretion, he declined to prosecute.
For those on Council in 2016, that was the end of the matter. Council reported their findings to the DA as they should have done, and DA Morganelli didn’t act on it.
West Easton Council recovered the money due to it where it was possible to do so, and moved on to correcting problems that allowed an Ivory Tower leadership to exist. There are now checks and balances that provide oversight on borough business and finances, in the form of a proper Borough Manager, a Treasurer, and accurate accounting records for audits.
For the new Council, that was the end of it, especially when voters removed Tom Nodoline in the next election cycle. It was time to look forward and put the Dark Age of West Easton in the rear view mirror.
Tricia Mezzacappa, however, wanted to bring it up again, for reasons only known to her, because there is no upside in reminding residents of what occurred during Kelly Gross’ tenure as Council President, and her actions with the assistance of Tom Nodoline, just before she departed office. No upside for them, or a borough that is moving forward and becoming a better community, despite a resident rogue constable who disparages it at every opportunity, as does any common scold.
Mezzacappa recently put in a RTK Request for all the documentation sent to Morganelli.
The request was denied by the borough, as being part of Attorney-Client privilege. Mezzacappa appealed to the Office of Open Records (OOR) and was denied on the majority of the request, but was successful in getting one letter determined to be public by the OOR.
West Easton’s solicitor has provided her the letter, which she immediately posted online under her alias, “Tricia Phillips,” and linked it to her Facebook account, Mezzacappa has ballyhooed her great victory in obtaining the letter and is putting out a false narrative that she convinced Morganelli not to prosecute.
“What I accumulated in depositions, discovery, correspondence and document retrieval proved that no one stole computers, erased data or destroyed government files,” says Mezzacappa. Other than her own letter to Morganelli, she cites as “correspondence,” she provided nothing to refute the evidence and the facts.
That’s the Bizarro World of Tricia Mezzacappa.
Mezzacappa’s only victory was in focusing attention on previous borough leadership, reminding residents of how the borough used to be run.
Meanwhile, Mezzacappa the known stalker of many, seems to be trying to divert attention away from her most recent troubles with the law.
Having failed to appear for her trial to face charges of filing a false police report that accused a black neighbor of pointing a gun at her head and her firing her weapon, she spent a night in Lehigh County Jail after being held on a Northampton County Bench Warrant. She was then transferred back to Northampton County to stand before a Judge and post a monetary bail.
She, as usual, has decided to focus on me, as her obsession and troubling stalking behavior has reached the truly psychotic level, with her putting in Right To Know Requests to get multiple hours long videos of me driving. They have her drooling uncontrollably in front of her computer for hours on end, as she reports on my visits to the bathroom and driving habits, taking notes that she forwards to my employer.
She is a miserable and sorrowful thing with no life and a failed career, now an undesirable candidate for any RN position. The Nurse Ratched of the Lehigh Valley, destined to work her typical part-time jobs in parking garages and stocking shelves.
Rather than focusing on her own legal problems which are mounting, along with her bills and lack of money to pay them, she continues with her lunacy. According to Mezzacappa, someone else had to post her monetary bail. She was also assessed $94.77 in bench warrant fees.
Her trial is scheduled for November 30th at the Northampton County Courthouse. Her pre-trial conference is scheduled for November 4th, where I expect she’ll cry, beg for mercy, and ask for a plea bargain deal, despite her public bravado.
Her attorney, Mr. John J. Waldron, is in front of a Judge this morning on a motion to remove himself as her attorney, citing “Irreconcilable Differences.” No doubt, if her defense is another conspiracy theory.
Still as arrogant and cRaZy as ever after a single night in jail, she has learned nothing from the experience and may end up with more at the conclusion of her trial, as she continues to keep up a public facade of being a martyr and victim. Her empty boast to the public is a promise to have a long trial and she implies the charge against her is all an attempt to silence her as an advocate of government transparency.
Only in the Bizarro World of Mezzacappa.
UPDATE: Mr. Waldron got his motion granted and is now Mezzacappa’s former attorney. Mezzacappa may have trouble finding another one as good as Waldron, since her reputation is one of stiffing her lawyers on legal fees.
UPDATE 10/22: Information added to correct a Mezzacappa lie regarding items she claims to have provided DA Morganelli.
