Following a report and recommendation from Mr. Doug Brown, our engineer from Barry Isset and Associates, West Easton Council voted to approve a bid for the total project price of $299,910 to finish the storage building on Ridge Street.
Councilman James made a motion to approve a conditional award of the project to Kobalt Construction, based on the approval of the grantors to our change in the scope of work to be done and subject to the final approval of the engineer, solicitor and staff.
The scope of the work includes the pouring of the cement floor, paving, fencing the perimeter of the property, electrical work, landscaping, and other items.
Grants currently secured will pay for the project with no cost to West Easton taxpayers, if grantors approve the changes to the scope of the project. Approval is expected.
