On May 1, 2011, Andrew Grantham uploaded a video to YouTube called, “Ultimate Dog Tease.” It’s now been viewed more than 151 million times and continues to remain popular. It features a dog in a voice-over conversation with his owner who discusses delicious food.

Grantham and his partnership with Pets Add Life (PAL) seems to have hit his stride in perfecting his short videos, the first of which he uploaded back in November of 2007. That one, “Re: Cat Talking, Translation” only now approaches 1 million views.

Since then, Grantham has created 33 other videos. Some feature cats, gerbils, mice, and a recent one that features a beaver he came across, while driving along a busy highway.

Debuting a new video within his YouTube series is an event among Grantham’s followers. Talking Animals introduced “Mouse Rover,” featuring a space-driven “talking” mouse that makes contact and quickly realizes the gravity of his situation when it encounters a cat. Within weeks it was surpassing tens of thousands of views upon its launch. That video, as all do all the videos, encourages multiple pet ownership and the joys pets bring to our lives.

As the creator, Andrew Grantham’s videos have received well over 200 million views and were named No. 2 on YouTube’s Top 10 videos of 2011. ‘Cat Nip Trip’ is another favorite video of the PAL series in which he takes user generated footage of a cat moving its mouth and edits it into hilarious banter.

Founded by The American Pet Products Association (APPA), the non-profit PAL campaign is designed to demonstrate the joys and benefits of responsible pet ownership and encourage increased animal adoption. The videos are all designed to encourage multiple pet ownership of pets of all types, said Bob Vetere, American Pet Products Association (APPA) President & CEO.
