At approximately 9:15 p.m., two gun shots rang out this evening at the intersection of 2nd Street and Keystone Avenue.
Those of us who were armed were the first to emerge from our homes as we investigated whether we heard loud firecrackers, or actual gunshots.
A neighbor and I discovered two .45 caliber shell casings along the intersection, approximately 10 yards apart. Another neighbor reported hearing a car drive off immediately after the the shots were fired, but no witness actually saw the vehicle.
Inspections of cars and house sidings in the immediate area found no evidence that anything was hit by projectiles.
Two State Troopers responded to a call by a resident and took statements.
