The Public Works Building will be delayed a year in the hope that another grant can be obtained and a larger, better building can be erected in 2019.
Council voted unanimously to wait until the next round of grants this year in order to put up more than just a shell of a building with the money already awarded.
West Easton received $60,000 in a previous grant.
If another $60,000 (or more) can be obtained by submitting another grant application this year, it will allow West Easton to erect a building with larger doors for equipment access, more space for storage, and a few amenities.
The building would still be located at the borough owned property on Ridge Street.
