For the second time in a week, meteorologists got it wrong. The first time they underestimated the snowfall total. This time they overestimated for the Lehigh Valley.
Yesterday’s storm had weather forecasters promising more than 12 inches. We ended up with 6 inches. There is a joke in there, but I’ll stick to the weather.
I don’t complain too much when the weather services get it wrong and we get less than they predict. I prefer that to what we saw last week, when more than predicted resulted in an absolute mess on roadways and plows unprepared.
Less snow means less shoveling, better road conditions the next day, and less time lost at work.
I just don’t know how I will use up the 20 gals of milk and 30 loaves of bread I bought, after successfully fighting off the hoards of shoppers who emptied grocery shelves on Tuesday.
Hopefully, Winter will now die.
