West Easton has just been notified that it received approval for two grants, to be used toward an ADA Borough Park Project, totaling $40,320.

The project will make the park accessible to the handicapped by installing sidewalks and ADA ramps around much of Gerald W. Gross Park.

A $20,430 grant was made available from Northampton County’s Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED). The funding was awarded through the County’s request to the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for Fiscal Year 2017 Community Development Block Grant funding.

DCED obtained an additional $20,000 in grant money through a Community Investment Partnership Program (CIPP) application, which is also earmarked for the ADA Borough Park Project.
