One Less Candidate In West Easton Primary

Another Day?I am the webmaster of this site and I withdrew my candidacy from the Democratic Primary this morning. I guess I’m still believing in a Pollyanna world where politicians run for and hold a public office in order to serve the public. It took me all of 20 minutes to unburden myself of it all by downloading a form, visiting a notary at my bank, and driving it to the Elections Clerk. Continue reading

The West Easton Public Information Wall

WallI believe in a transparent government. One would think getting blanks of forms that might be needed by a resident, or even approved minutes of past meetings would be a simple task for West Easton employees to fulfill at the window.

It isn’t.

Being put off with excuses and delays isn’t what I expected when trying to gather basic information for this website. Neither did I expect I would eventually have to submit a RTKL request for items that couldn’t possibly be of a private nature to borough business. Continue reading
