Former Councilman Ron Nixon, who resigned his seat in March of 2017, due to his mother’s need for care, is returning for a bid at the upcoming election in November.
Mr. Nixon has conveyed that he can now devote the time needed to serve on Council.
He is ready to serve, if the voters would like him to return.
Mr. Nixon will be listed on the Democrat ticket in the upcoming May Primary Election on May 21st.
As he will be among the only three Democrat candidates listed on the Primary ballot, running for the three council seats up for grabs, his moving on to the General Election in November is pretty much a certainty.
I support Mr. Nixon’s return and wish him well in November.
