This past weekend I worked on a Resolution opposing Governor Wolf’s PSP Service Fee, found in his proposed 2020-21 budget.
It will be on the March 9th meeting Agenda for West Easton Council consideration.
The Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs (PSAB) is also against the service fee and is recommending their membership oppose that section of Gov. Wolf’s budget proposal.
As many state legislators have already pointed out publicly, if the PSP Service Fee is allowed to remain as written, the less wealthy and less populated rural communities will be forced to raise property taxes, as they are being hit the hardest, often with the highest “per resident” costs.
The cost to West Easton, calculated at $16.28/resident would be $20,387.70.
