It isn’t exactly Baseball’s Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, or Cleveland’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but one local resident has achieved a notoriety of sorts by being named to Bill White’s Hall of Fame, as published in the Morning Call.

For those of you unaware of The Morning Call and Bill White, TMC is a local newspaper and Mr. White is a local columnist who writes for the publication. Each year Mr. White selects someone to be inducted into his Hall of Fame and to receive the accolades that accompany his selection.

As of yet, I don’t believe there is any cash award or prizes for being chosen.

Mr. White’s pick this year was our own Ridge Street resident, Tricia Mezzacappa.

Tricia will have to share the laurels with the former 1-man police force and thus, former police chief, Mr. Mark Kessler of Gilberton. Fans of Mr. Kessler will recognize him as the man who found his 15 minutes of fame by posting a vulgar language laced video of himself shooting automatic weapons. The Youtube video caught the attention of just about everyone and did little to help the cause of rational and responsible gun owners.

Now, I’m not going to give an opinion of whether Tricia Mezzacappa is deserving of such an honor. That wouldn’t be fair, as some might claim that my opinion would be biased.
