When West Easton Goes Dark I Say, Let There Be Light

At around 5:00 today West Easton lost power. It is now almost 8:00 and having checked the Met-Ed website, they give an estimate of 8:30 before power is restored. They don’t provide a reason for the outage.

I’m sure everyone will be pleased to know that my lights are on and I’m enjoying television and the Internet.

When Superstorm Sandy hit in 2012 I swore that I would never freeze my butt off and be bored out of my skull for 5 days again so, a few months after that storm, when the prices came down on generators I bought one at a garage sale. You don’t need one until you do.

I’ve had little occasion to put it to use. Most outages don’t last more than 15 or 20 minutes, but when you are trying to catch up on work that requires the Internet it sure is nice to have power.

I just wanted to let all of West Easton know that I’m fine – including my stalker. :-)
