This Council meeting was held following the Halloween Parade that evening. Another increase in the final cost for the completed Adamson Street road project is presented to Council, sparking annoyance from some Council members during discussions. An offer of payment to owners of Ridge Street property is approved. Activities Committee generates approx. $200 for their fund, from Halloween Parade sales. The 2017 budget is reviewed and discussed. The Wilson Borough offer of police contract is discussed. The Safety Committee submits information to Council regarding part-time police, gathered from a fact-finding meeting with Stockertown Police Chief. Reports from Committees given. A proposal for Council and Mayor pay increase is tabled until next Council meeting. At public comment portion, a resident asks a question about 911 procedure using a part-time police department.
UPDATE 10/31/16 It was incorrectly stated during the Council Meeting that the Activities Committee made $200. It was actually The West Easton Scholarship Fund.
