Sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday morning, cars were rummaged through on 9th Street.
Again, as in previous years, the entries into cars were made only on those that were left unlocked overnight.
These are petty crimes of opportunity because owners continue to leave their cars unsecured.
It only takes a split second for a dirt bag to walk by a car and pull a door handle. If the door opens the individual can rummage through a car in less than two minutes looking for cash, loose change, or any electronic devices.
Please remember to lock your cars!
