Pandemic Doesn’t Completely Stop West Easton’s Memorial Day Honors

Though Governor Wolf’s designation of Northampton County being a “red” county due to the infection numbers during this Covid-19 pandemic, Mayor Dan DePaul laid a memorial wreath at the borough’s War Monument Park this morning at 9:00 a.m., as previously scheduled.

While West Easton Council had decided to forego the usual large ceremony due to the pandemic, it was also decided that a more subdued observance would be conducted.

Lacking the Honor Guard, dignitaries, and crowd, West Easton followed through on honoring those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to to their country.

In addition to Mayor DePaul, in attendance were council members Janie Jones Brown, myself, and Pete Mammana, who was accompanied by his wife.
