Murdoch’s Media Empire Pulling Support Of Trump

Donald Trump’s previous supporter, media mogul Rupert Murdoch, is openly pulling that support of him, as a viable candidate to another term as President.

Murdoch’s New York Post says Trump is “unworthy to be this country’s chief executive again.”

An editorial in Murdoch’s Wall Street Journal also drew attention to Trump’s attempted coup, and dereliction of duty during the January 6th riot at the Capital.

The Journal called him “The President Who Stood Still on Jan. 6” and praised Vice President Mike Pence. “Character is revealed in a crisis, and Mr. Pence passed his Jan. 6 trial. Mr. Trump utterly failed his,” the Journal editorial stated.

Murdoch’s FOX News Channel is also providing Trump less air time, depriving him of a means to message his Big Lie to conservative viewers. FOX no longer airs Trump’s rallies in their entirety, if at all.

During one of Trump’s recent rallies, FOX opted to interview Ron DeSantis, providing DeSantis a venue to get out his own message seeking the GOP nomination for President.

The recent criticisms of Trump from the Murdoch newspapers went to print today, following the latest presentation from the United States House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack, in which evidence was presented of Trump’s refusal to call off his insurrectionist followers for 187 minutes.

While Trump watched the Capital attack on his dining room television, and despite pleas from FOX celebrities, his advisors, GOP members of Congress, and even his own children to call off the attack by his followers, he did nothing to end the siege.

What he did was, tweet a message that put a target on his own Vice-President, because Pence was adamant in following the Constitution and to certify the electoral count.  Trump also called his loyal Senators, wanting them to stop the certification – one of whom had to hang up on Trump, because he literally had to run for his life, as the rioters were breaching the chamber.

It wasn’t until Trump realized his coup attempt failed, did he finally get off his ass. There was talk of invoking the 25th Amendment against him, and reinforcements were arriving at the Capital (thanks to Vice-President Pence taking command of the situation).

Trump finally made a video after more than 3 hours of watching the riot. He was seen telling his followers to go home, while also telling them he loved them, they were “special,” and taking the opportunity to, once again, promote the Big Lie of a stolen election.

While the Trump zealots continue to believe the January 6th Hearings are having no effect on public opinion, those hearings are revealing the truth about a man who cared less about his country and the Constitution, than his own desire for power. Murdoch has obviously watched those hearings, as have many Republicans willing to learn the truth about Trump’s attempted coup.

Murdoch was an early supporter of Trump, leading up to the 2016 election, and during most of Trump’s tenure during his 4 years in office. The relationship began to sour most notably when Trump began his rhetoric of the 2020 election being stolen, and the system being rigged. Trump was extremely angry when FOX News was the first to correctly declare Joe Biden the winner of Arizona, hours before other major news networks made the same call.

Support for Trump as a 2024 GOP nominee is slowly eroding, as sane Republicans are realizing a narcissist who will burn down the Republic to retain power is not fit for office of President.
