How West Easton Voted In 2016

West Easton favored Donald Trump for President, over Hillary Clinton.

Turnout was high, as it was for the entire nation. 538 residents went to the polls (71.05% of eligible voters).

I had the privilege of being the first voter yesterday morning, and as a line of about 10 people formed before the door opened, I had a chance to talk with a couple of people. While we never said who we were voting for, it was pretty plain that we weren’t voting “for” anyone. It was a vote against the “other one.”

While some may have wanted to shake up the system and send a message to the previously elected, I think most just voted for who they believed to be the lesser of two evils.
