At tonight’s meeting of the Borough of West Easton Council a Resolution Declaring Black Lives Matter will be presented for approval.
The Resolution recognizes West Easton’s past history of racism and discrimination, reaffirms its commitment to equality for all persons, and supports the removal of those symbols of systemic racism displayed on public properties.
It is time for the leaders in all communities to commit publicly, by voice vote, where they stand on the issue of inequality, discrimination, and systemic racism that still exists in our country, our state, and our own communities.
