According to WFMZ.com, Judge Stephen Baratta sentenced disgraced Constable Tricia Mezzacappa to 12 months probation.

The sentence was punishment for filing a false police report that could have resulted in an innocent black neighbor being incarcerated, if her lie hadn’t been uncovered by Pennsylvania State Police who investigated her claim of a gun being pointed at her head and her having fired her own weapon.

As part of her probation Mezzacappa is required to undergo counseling. She will also be required to have continued psychiatric and drug and alcohol evaluations. She cannot possess any firearms, or carry weapons of any kind in public.

Mezzacappa had all her guns confiscated before her trial with the exception of one, which Mezzacappa said she sold, according to Assistant DA Abigail Bellafatto. The Judge has ordered Mezzacappa to show proof of sale, or surrender the weapon.

Reviewing the pre-sentencing investigation during sentencing, Judge Baratta indicated Mezzacappa had at least 30 jobs since 1992, having been fired 10 times and leaving the rest over claims of mismanagement or antagonistic supervisors. Baratta noted that she was “aggressive and uncooperative” with the probation department in preparing the pre-sentencing investigation.

Baratta also noted the pre-sentencing investigation mentioned Mezzacappa’s feelings of persecution and perceived mistreatment against her. Mezzacappa has a lengthy list of people she feels have wronged her, including former employers and local blogger, Bernie O’Hare, according to the judge.

Mezzacappa said little when given the opportunity to speak, though she offered her opinion of West Easton being a “defective borough.”

The question remains, will Mezzacappa comply with Judge Baratta’s ruling of probation and offer of counseling that might result in her getting her life on track and becoming a decent person?

Comments on Bernie O’Hares’ Lehigh Valley Ramblings blog indicate she will not, if the posts contributed by “Tricia Mezzacappa” are indeed, from her. This one was made at 4:01 PM:

I will not tolerate false narratives, lies, gaslighting, abuse, violence, death threats, vandalism on my property and car, and continued political persecution dealt by a corrupt system of terrified mentally unstable nutbags , who foam at the mouth and misuse public resources every time I ask for public info.

I will sit there in jail and record every single act of abuse, date, time, name, etc, call the news outlets, and re-train inmates how to beat their criminal governments so they don’t wind up deprived of rights, like me!

Considering the vitriol, insults, false narrative, use of caps, and the disrespect toward the judge found within the screed, I believe it is from Mezzacappa.

If so, she has learned nothing and is willing to go further into that deep dark hole she has dug for herself, tossing out the ladder of help offered her by a lenient Judge Baratta.
