Due to the resignation of Councilwoman Marion Bogusky Molleur, West Easton Council is seeking an individual to fill her vacant seat and complete the remainder of her term. Marion, as previously reported, has sold her home and is moving out of West Easton. Her resignation was announced this evening at the Council Meeting by Kelly Gross, Council President. Marion was not present to make the announcement, herself.
Marion was first elected in November, 2011 and there are approximately two years remaining on her unexpired term. The remaining West Easton Council members can appoint a resident of their choosing to fill the vacancy.
The new council member will be paid $900/yr for their service and is expected to fully participate in governance and to attend council meetings.
“The Council is looking for an individual who is willing to put in the time and be actively involved in the business of running West Easton. They must be reliable and willing to give up personal time, with a commitment to serve. It is a matter of giving back to the community in which you live. Being a member of the Council is not a glamorous position,” Council President Kelly Gross said.
However, I happen to know that your position on the council will entitle you to any size coffee at McDonalds for $1.00 (plus tax).
If you wish to be considered for the vacant seat, send a letter of interest to:
