A rare accident in West Easton involving two vehicles occurred at approximately 4:20 this evening at the intersection of 3rd Street and Keystone. It resulted in serious damage to the two vehicles, requiring a tow truck to be called.

As I began taking pictures, fireman Scott Shaw confronted me near the white car in the pictures below. He seemed to be a bit “perturbed” at my taking pictures.

Scott was under the impression that I had to ask before I took any pictures and that I wasn’t allowed to take pictures of his daughter’s car, when he told me I had to ask first. I was able to gather from his statement that the black car involved is his daughters car.

Being a father myself, I’m sure his demeanor was simply a father trying to protect his daughter. I assured him I was not there to place blame, but to simply take photos for this website,

Both cars received major damage.

It appeared that no occupants were seriously injured in the collision.

A State Trooper was on the scene to take statements and a tow truck arrived to clear the roadway.
