No Yolk – West Easton Easter Egg Hunt In Jeopardy

The West Easton Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for Saturday, April 15th, may not happen due to lack of interest.

Borough Manager Joan Heebner reports that only two children are registered to participate. That’s it. Just two.

Either everyone is planning on showing up without notification, or West Easton just has old people like me in it.

It does take some planning for the Easter Egg Hunt. Bales of hay are ordered for ground cover, a sufficient number of eggs has to be provided for all the children, and workers are needed on the Saturday the event is to be held, for preparation and cleanup afterward.

West Easton is asking that you let Joan Heebner or Dave Gehman know if your children will be attending. You can contact them during Borough Hall business hours at 610-252-6651, or by clicking HERE.

It is hoped the event can be held at Gerald W. Gross Park this year, rather than the Borough Hall parking lot, as had been the practice when the event was held, before being disbanded. This year was the first attempt to revive the hunt.

If confirmed participation is lacking the Council will decide at it’s April 10th Council meeting on whether or not to cancel the Easter Egg Hunt again this year.
