Returning from an Executive Session at last night’s Council Meeting the West Easton Council decided in a 4-0 vote (M. Dees abstaining, L. Niko absent, T. Nodoline absent) that surveillance video involving our computers would be released for the public. This now allows anyone who submits a Right To Know Law Request to obtain security camera footage of the person or persons removing the Borough’s computers from Borough property.

I abstained because I was the first person who submitted an RTKL request for that footage, as a private citizen. That original request was denied because the incident was under investigation. I will be submitting a new request today.

Mr. Tom Nodoline left the Council meeting during the Executive session and did not return for the conclusion of the Council Meeting.

Mr. Niko was absent, due to a health issue.

In a matter of days it should become evident who the person(s) responsible for putting our Borough in a precarious position and causing tenuous problems for the new Council to conduct business.

If you would like to submit your own RTKL request, a form is available at Borough Hall and online. You would request “Any West Easton Borough security camera footage retained by The Borough of West Easton that involves the removal of computer equipment from Borough property.”

There is a charge for the video medium (thumb drive or disc) in providing the format it was retained on.

UPDATE 11:04 AM: Through a RTKL submission you can also request to inspect the records, which would allow you to view any requested recordings, without retaining a copy.
