For those of you who inquired about the criminal complaint against Tricia Mezzacappa and wanted to see it, I now have it uploaded.

Though I’m told somebody likes to say, “What’s in the public domain is fair game,” I took the time to redact the names of the accosted and their address.

The documents in my own possession are unredacted, because with these types of documents that relate to criminal charges, redactions aren’t required under the law.

Yes, I took it upon myself to make the redactions. I believe victims should have a right to privacy for as long as possible and I won’t be the first to release their names.

Eventually they will be known. If not through the local media when it can no longer ignore the story of a constable facing charges of filing a false report and the statements she made, then certainly when the victims themselves file their civil suit against Tricia Mezzacappa, a State Constable.

For those who doubted that twenty years into the 21st century it’s possible for a young black man to be wrongly prosecuted for a crime he did not commit, you only need to read the complaint to remove that doubt. Some still try to make it happen.

I tip my hat to the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), who performed a thorough investigation and didn’t just take the word of an angry white woman. West Easton Constable Mezzacappa must have thought this was the backwoods of Alabama.

This is the backwoods of Pennsylvania. Though it went red in 2016, it still has enough blue in it, that it hasn’t abandoned the Constitution completely.

PSP’s investigation prevented a possible perversion of Justice and Tricia Mezzacappa’s attorney appears to have a difficult row to hoe ahead of him.
