Just a friendly reminder that today is the day of the solar eclipse that will have the moon passing in front of the sun. Our area will have 73.37% of the sun obscured during the maximum point, which will happen at 2:43:04 this afternoon.

Ensure children (as well as yourself) do not look at the sun to view the event without approved eclipse glasses.

Amazon has recalled some eclipse glasses that were found to be ineffective. A third party seller was selling knock-offs purchased from a Chinese source.

Proper glasses will allow no light to be seen when looking at the brightest light bulb.
