checkered_flagPaul James, Chairperson of the Zoning Board has been appointed to the vacant West Easton Council seat.

The vacant seat was created when Marion Molleur resigned her council seat, by letter, at the October West Easton Borough Council meeting.

It wasn’t much of a contest for the seat. Mr. James was the only resident of West Easton to submit a letter of interest to fill the vacant council seat and upon a vote of the Council, was accepted. He will be sworn in before December’s West Easton Council meeting convenes.

Best wishes to Mr. James.

I suspect the seat left open on the Zoning Board, when Paul James moves to Council, will likely be filled by borough resident, Mr. Mike Koehler. Mike works in the transportation department for the Easton Area School District and is a licensed real estate agent with Weichert Realtors.

Mr. Koehler had contacted the Council a couple of months ago, volunteering to serve the community, should the need arise. As I’m not aware of anyone else seeking to serve on a board, I suspect Mr. Koehler may be asked to accept an appointment to the Zoning Board.
